Debrief Review: why a bid lost marks, and what to change next time
Send us the buyer's assessment summary and the answers you submitted. We show where the marks went, the weaknesses that repeat, and how to answer next time.
Who it's for
- A buyer has turned you down and sent their scores or feedback.
- You keep scoring in the middle bands and don't know why.
- The contract will be re-tendered and you want to be ready.
What you get
- Where the marks went, question by question, against the buyer's own feedback.
- The weaknesses that repeat across your answers.
- Two example rewrites of your weakest answers.
- A plan for your next bid.
- A person checks it before it reaches you.
Illustration
Pattern across 4 answers: the buyer's comments say "limited evidence" each time. Your answers describe what you would do but give no figures from contracts you already run.
Next time: open each answer with one result from current work, then the method.
What we need from you
- The buyer's assessment summary, scores or feedback letter.
- The answers you submitted.
Our guarantee
- If you book a Response Draft for any tender within 30 days of buying a Debrief Review, we take the Debrief Review fee off its price (terms 4.3).
- It's our opinion, not a guarantee of any future score. We don't advise on challenging an award; if you're considering that, speak to a solicitor promptly (terms 2.4).
Full wording in our terms of business.
Who checks it
We're appointing experienced UK bid writers; every bid we write or check is reviewed before it reaches you, and nothing is delivered until a reviewer is in place. See how a bid is checked.
Questions
Can you help me challenge the award?
No. We don't give legal advice about challenging an award or the standstill period. Speak to a solicitor promptly if you're considering it.
What if I only have a score, not written feedback?
Send what you have. Scores per question still show where the marks went; written comments let us say why.
Does a Debrief Review hold the tender for me?
No. The tender has already been awarded, so there's no lot to hold (terms 3.4).
